After losing two of three on the road in Western Canada, the Leafs return home to Toronto for three of their next four games.  The Leafs continue to have issues pretty much everywhere, although the penalty kill has been improved the past week.  As Vintage Leaf Memories writes, an inability to finish has been a major storyline:

The Leafs compete pretty hard most nights, but in too many games they just can’t finish.  What’s Kessel, minus 12 on the season?  Versteeg,  minus 15?  No excuses.  They are good players but that’s not good enough for guys who are, in fairness, still very young.  But fair or not, they are two of the key guys expected to lead the way offensively. When Kessel was on fire in October, the Grabovski line wasn't producing.  When the second line started scoring in November, Kessel and his line-mates struggled.  To win games like the one last night, the Leafs need balanced scoring from their top offensive players.
