One of the most common questions I get is "why isn't there a PPP App?". While there is a mobile site, there is much to be desired. I'm glad to tell you that the technical gurus at SB Nation have been hard at work this summer and soon you'll be able to download an SB Nation app from the iTunes app store for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. Of course, it's free!

You can easily browse through the latest stories from around SB Nation and follow the Story Streams as they update in real time, comment on articles, share them on social media platforms, whatever you need - you can also set your lineup of favorite SB Nation blogs in order to tailor the app to your own interests.

But don't take my word for it, just watch the video...

The app is currently being vetted by Apple but once it's live I'll give you guys the heads up so you can keep track of all of your sports news need and follow all of your favourite SBN sites in one place. Once the Tech Team has the Apple App firing on all cylinders they'll move on to making an android version.

---When can I download the app?
The app should be available in the App Store later this week.  We will notify you all immediately when it's released.


---Will there be an Android app?
Absolutely!  SB Nation will definitely have an Android app in the future. The plan is to release the iPhone app, get tons of feedback, see how people are using it, make a few fixes and then get started on Android.  We know there are a lot of Android users out there so we'll be doing our best to get an app for you guys as soon as possible. We're shooting for the end of the year.


---Why iOS?
When we decided to create a mobile app for SB Nation, Android usage was growing rapidly, but iOS (iPhone, iPod, iPad) users were a larger segment of our mobile web audience.  As of today, they are almost even. Our plan was to pick one (the largest at the time) and figure out what the application should be, refine it based on feedback and metrics and then move on to other platforms, with Android being next in line. Rather than creating both at the same time, we wanted to focus more on the application design than trying to build it for two platforms.


---Is it free?
100% free.  The app will have ads, but we made sure that they were not intrusive.


---What can I expect from comments?
Commenting for the first release is pretty basic.  You can read and reply to comments.  There is no auto-refresh, ctrl-z, etc...  We have plans to revisit the comments and enhance them once the app is out and we start getting feedback on it.
