Everyone's getting extensions before William Nylander, it seems.

Sheldon Keefe, already signed through 2023-24, has been given a "multi-year" extension that was confirmed by Elliotte Friedman to be two years. In total, that means Sheldon Keefe will be behind the bench or on the Leafs books for three more seasons.

GM Brad Treliving, who stated he wanted to give an extension to Keefe earlier in the summer after extensive discussions and meetings, had this to say about the contract.
"Since I've joined the Maple Leafs, I've been very impressed with Sheldon," said General Manager Brad Treliving. "He has shown great leadership skills with his staff and our players, and has a clear vision for this team and where it needs to get to. Sheldon has established himself as one of the top coaches in the league and I look forward to working alongside him as we head into the upcoming season."
