Boston Fleet @ Toronto Sceptres
7:00 PM ET at Coca-Cola Coliseum, Toronto
Watch in Canada: TSN4, NESN in New England
Outside of Canada, you can watch on the PWHL YouTube Channel and thepwhl.com
Toronto, with 16 games played to the Fleet's 14 are actually lower in the standings by Points %. The bottom four teams all have 20 or 21 points.
Toronto won their last game in overtime, their first OTW of the season. There's a lot of overtime in the PWHL and 14 points have been gained by losing after regulation. Toronto has the most with four. This is one reason why the standings are so tight. The three points for a regulation win can rocket a team up the standings quickly if you get the wins, but the OTL point can keep struggling teams close.
Toronto got the OT win on Tuesday against the Frost, and on Wednesday, Boston shut out New York.
You know all about Toronto's injuries and the return of Natalie Spooner. Prior to their last game, Boston signed Jillian Dempsey on a 10-day contract. Hannah Bilka was moved to LTIR.
So far this season, the home team has won each game between Toronto and Boston. I say that's a streak that should be kept going tonight.
As always, lines will be posted closer to game time.
