Three picks today from teams that made the playoffs, were good, and yet failed at getting deep enough to be consoled by their playoff success.
NHL Mock Draft 2019: Tampa Bay Lightning select forward Jakob Pelletier with No. 27 pick - Raw Charge
A small speedy forward from Quebec. Stop me if you’ve heard this story before.
2019 NHL Mock Draft: Carolina Hurricanes select Samuel Poulin with 28th Pick - Canes Country
Our mock draft selection this year is a bit later than we’ve been accustomed to. Still, we had our pick of some highly-skilled forwards, and went with a player who already has a Carolina connection.
Wait what are the Ducks doing here? This is from a set of real trades, not mock draft trades. This is the Sharks pick, with they sent to Buffalo in the Evander Kane deal. The Sabres then used this pick to buy Brandon Montour off of the Ducks.
NHL Mock Draft 2019: Anaheim Ducks select Nathan Légaré at No. 29 overall - Anaheim Calling
Légaré is a pure sniper that could complement an elite playmaker potentially taken with the ninth overall pick.
There’s only two picks left! And one of those belongs to the Bruins, but the other was traded to the Sabres for Ryan O’Reilly. No matter how Game Seven works out, I don’t think the Blues will be unhappy about that.
So, who is picking last? Buffalo or the Bruins?
Who will pick last in the first round of the draft?
Buffalo | 47 |
Boston | 19 |
This pick will be traded before it’s used (in the real draft) | 27 |
