Natalie Spooner beat Corinne Schroeder first to the blocker and then to the glove as she scored twice in the shootout for Toronto's fifth win in a row. PWHL Toronto catapulted themselves up the standings after chipping away at New York's goalie for 53 minutes until Emma Maltais opened the scoring. Ella Shelton (who else) scored with 7 seconds left in regulation, forcing overtime before Spooner's shootout magic.

It was the PWHL's Black History Month celebration night in Toronto and this merch from Dana Mclean is cool. Also check out their website, it's so trippy and unique!

Over in Laval, Joseph Woll stopped 36 of 37 in a 4-1 win for the Marlies. Laval had nine power plays and a dramatic lead in shots, so I guess it was good they had Woll in net. He looks ready for a goalie controversy.
Joseph Woll has been very good tonight.

He's been hacked, slashed, crashed into, taken an elbow to the head and more I've probably missed.
It's been open season on him and it's been no joke.
Twenty-three saves through 34 minutes.

The QMJHL is reducing their season schedule by four games to help ease the stress of travel for teams and players, and hopefully eliminate those 3-in-3's.

This Adam Ruzicka story is gaining controversy because the Coyotes immediately chose to release him and the windstorm that started on social media by some people. What the NHLPA is going to have to figure out is why Ruzicka and why now.
