With one regulation win in their past nine attempts it's understandable that the Montreal media wants to downplay games against Toronto.
What else is there to say when the Canadiens didn't get their first shot until the first period was half over -at which time the Leafs led 2-0? - Montreal Gazette
We could say that Scott Gomez and P.K. Subban have been spending an awful lot of time in the press box lately. Although in his defense Subban played against Toronto to show us all of his poise and excellent play.

"I think that I can skate with some pretty fast players out there," Subban suggested, "but when they're going a million miles an hour and my feet are in cement, you know it's not going to help me. We have a week of practice, so I'm just going back and work on those little things." - Montreal Gazette
Little things like skating. Got it. Best of luck.
