On a night when former Marlies Jhonas Enroth and Jeff Glass are both sitting as backups in the NHL, word has come that the Marlies have secured a loan of J.P. Anderson from the Adirondak Thunder to backup Antoine Bibeau.
Garret Sparks has been injured for a few days, and we don’t know how serious that is. Meanwhile down in Orlando, Ryan Massa has been placed on injured reserve and the Solar Bears have found a backup for Kasimir Kaskisuo, so there’s no chance of a call-up there.
J.P. Anderson is from Toronto, and is 24 and Enroth-sized all game long. He gets around. He’s already been loaned to Utica once this year and appeared in a game for Albany on another loan. That didn’t go well, but he does have some AHL experience.
The revolving Marlies goalie door keeps turning.
Karri Ramo, by the way, has four games in for the Pelicans in Finland with a save percentage of .926.
In other news: Shane Conacher was sent back to Orlando after the acquisition at the deadline of Mike Sislo for Colin Smith and the return to playing action of Kasperi Kapanen.
