First Period

This was a very sleepy period with the life coming late when the Leafs had a partial power play.

The Leafs have too, I'd say since the talk has gone from Jake McCabe coming back before the end of the season to, "they're being cautious."

It was about at this point that Matt Knies kicked up the energy level.

Nick Robertson went off for an inadvertent high stick, and then with 25 seconds left...

Not quite:

After one, it was zero-all. Leafs heavily outshot at five-on-five.

Second Period

This was a less sleepy period.

One of several chances by Auston Matthews to score. Spoiler: none worked.

Good pass from Scott Laughton to set up Lorentz's eighth of the season.

After two it was 1-0 Leafs, Matthews was cursed, and UPL was on fire.

Leafs with the 58% Corsi in this period.

Third Period

Lots of chances early at both ends. Both Bobby McMann and William Nylander used their speed. Anthony Stolarz had to be on his game too.

Nylander took a high-sticking penalty and it was a wild power play. The Leafs had a shorthanded rush, but Stolarz really had to be on the ball as well.

Seems pretty tame by Dahlin standards.

Mitch Marner! Got his 100th point for the first time. And an insurance goal to win the division as well.

Buffalo pulled the goalie and just went to town on Stolarz. Oh, and Auston

Matthews got his 400th career goal on the ENG.

Nick Robettson also netted one in the final minutes. He scored on a goalie.

Final score was 4-0 for the Atlantic Champions. It was nice all those milestones happened in front of a home crowd.

Next game is Thursday at home to Detroit. Won't that be fun?
