First Period

Leafs dug a hole and they started early.

Friendly fire:

After one it was 2-0 Wild. The Leafs had 63% Corsi and 48% Expected Goals. It's almost like that might be part of the problem along with some bad luck and a vague sense of ennui.

Second Period

No filling in of the hole occurred.

This period was legitimately better from the Leafs. Corsi of 61% and xG of 54%. Almost goals: about the same number of posts from the Leafs. Woll didn't really have to work very hard, though. (For obvious reasons.) After two it was 2-0 Minnesota.

Third Period

Most exciting play in the period at this point:

William Nylander! Finally something good:

Leafs press hard with the net empty, but they just can't do it. Marcus Foligno with the ENG.

Final score was 3-1 Wild.

That's a lucky team wins game.
