First Period

This was a no good very bad period. Jake McCabe and Chris Tanev are both sorry they got out of bed today.

Shortly after, Tanev took a hit that looked like it got his leg, but upper-body was announced. He did not return.

The Leafs got a power play from a too many men penalty to Boston. Most viewers wished they hadn't. The first unit is back to looking confused, but the second unit seems more on the ball like they were on the weekend, but no goals.

The Bruins got a power play:

And the Bruins score when the puck hits McCabe in the face first:

Max Domi drew a penalty, but unfortunately the Leafs used their bad power play again.

Stolarz kept this period from getting out of control:

After one it was 2-0 Bruins.

Bruins had the puck a lot, the Leafs defended badly and had half their five-on-five Corsi blocked.

Second Period

Maybe this interference going uncalled is a make up for the above, but it was impossible to track who got away with what in this game.

Simon Benoit with his classic move waaaaaaaay out on the PK:

Domi with another penalty that looked like a reputation call.

There were seven penalties (called) in the second period, so no one really got their lines rolling, but the Leafs did have the puck more at five-on-five.

After two it was 3-1 Bruins.

Third Period

The Leafs were very much the better team to begin the third.

McCabe painted himself into a corner and turned the puck over to David Pastrnak.

Matthews hit the goalpost with one minute left.

PONTUS! Tie game!

Leafs came on strong in the third period and did not quit. No penalties helped with the flow.

Overtime

Bruins fans doing the USA chant just as Auston Matthews came out. Irony is dead.

Mitch Marner with the winner in an overtime that was as wild as the third period.

Absolute killer game from Nick Robertson. Morgan Rielly was lowkey very good.

Final score was LEAFS WIN!
