It was brought up on Puck Daddy this morning: should the NHL change the overtime format? (Editor's note, it's really hard to not write "hell no" right after that question so I'm putting it in italics.) Do casual fans like or hate long OT? Do we care about casual fans anyway?
The argument to keep it the same as it's ever been is obvious: long overtime games are incredible. The argument to change playoff OT isn't just about being a godless heathen who likes the shootout, it's about spreading the game in the US by not annoying television partners like NBC.
So let's have it PPPers, is the current playoff OT picture perfect, or is it showing its age? Vote in the poll and then venture into the comments to have your say.
Should the NHL change the playoff OT format?
