Last night Montréal and Boston played their first game, an exhausting affair for the winning goalie, Aerin Frankel, who faced 56 Shots on Goal in three periods plus overtime.
Boston never had the puck much, never looked dangerous and won the game anyway. Montréal played one of those games where the wrong people seemed to have the puck all the time.
We can hope they wear each other out with a long series exactly like game one.
Meanwhile Toronto stomped Minnesota in their fist game and would like to do it again. There's nothing Toronto really needs to do differently to a 4-0 shutout, but we should likely expect Minnesota to try to find ways to get more effective offence early in the game.
