Hey, did you hear about that trade that almost happened? Yeah, some kid almost got send to the Leafs. Good thing he didn't though, it never would have worked out I bet.
Previous Meeting
The Leafs travel to another one of their house of horrors to take on the Atlantic leading Flyers.
As is the case with most of the league's top teams (it makes me sick to write that) the Flyers have dealt spectacularly with a long list of injuries. Some day the Leafs will have depth like this and opposition fans will be bemoaning the fact that the Buds never seem to miss a beat.
In other news, Mikhail Grabovski is a good guy:
Mikhail Grabovski, in the aftermath of his shove of NHL linesman Scott Cherrey, spent yesterday trying to make things right. The Leafs forward called Cherrey to apologize for his actions Thursday night in Montreal and then met with Toronto media members to express contrition for his actions.Fletcher, like me, likes the fire that Grabovski played with Thursday night. Finger will be out of tonight's game with an 'upper body' injury which means that Ian White won't make his anticipated move up to the wing. That's a shame because the Leafs could use right wing White more than defenceman White.
It's a good thing that the Leafs' picked up Brady May because the Flyers are just the kind of team that was teeing off on the Leafs' skill players.
I am going to miss this game which is likely a good thing but the Leafs will never catch the Islanders if they beat teams like the Flyers.
