So hopefully Pogge's starting, is what I'm getting at here. The Leafs have won 5 of their last 7, and that streak kicked off with a 3-1 victory over the Islanders. The Islanders are an abyssmal 10-21-1, meaning the Leafs have a lot of work to do if they don't want to see John Tavares wearing aqua blue and orange (or more likely St. Burke needs to trade up in the draft).

The Isles seem to have caught the injury bug:

NY Islanders

Player Date Status Description
Rick DiPietro 2008-10-30 on injured reserve and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks knee surgery
Frans Nielsen 2008-11-22 on injured reserve and is expected to miss 8-12 weeks right leg
Bruno Gervais 2008-11-24 on injured reserve leg
Radek Martinek 2008-12-05 on injured reserve right shoulder
Mike Sillinger 2008-12-12 on injured reserve strained groin
Nate Thompson 2008-12-16 on injured reserve and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks broken ankle
Andy Sutton 2008-12-20 on injured reserve and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks broken right foot
Doug Weight 2008-12-24 questionable for Friday's game against Toronto strained groin

On the Leafs injury front, Mike Van Ryn is listed as "doubtful" for Friday night's tilt, but should hopefully be getting closer to skating.
