According to Mark Masters, the doctor for Team Sweden says that William Nylander is symptom free for the second straight day, but will be kept off the ice for an additional day as a precaution.
An earlier report from Aftonbladet states that doctors sound positive about Nylander's condition, and hope that he can return later in the tournament. Doctors are staying in close contact with the Maple Leafs organization to best gauge how to proceed with his involvment.
Nylander has been under the close observation of Swedish doctor Sofia Sunnerud since his hit on Dec. 26. Two other players who were injured during Sweden's WJC match against Switzerland, Adrian Kempe and Gustav Forsling, returned today to take part in Sweden's winning bout against the US.
Team Sweden's next match is on Dec. 30 against Denmark.
