I'll go with a simple one: win a game. The Leafs end this year on a low note with a loss last night bringing their record for the last ten games to 3-4-3. Here's our recap of the loss to the Hurricanes.

Resolving to win games in 2024 would be great, and the perfect time to for the Leafs to try and keep that resolution starts this week with the dreaded California Road Trip. Oh yes, that means late games are back, with Tuesday's not starting until 10:30 p.m. ET. Get some extra sleep on the holiday tomorrow.

If you want to watch hockey today, Canada plays Germany at the WJC starting at 1:30 p.m.

Unfortunately, there won't be any Spengler Cup matches for Canada as they were eliminated from the tournament.

There was a goalie fight in an ECHL game!

There was a classic goalie interference controversy last night in Washington, doubly so because it was a last minute goal which would have tied the game, and also that meant the NHL Situation Room automatically did the review, and it's questionable if the game officials would have called it on their own.
