The Leafs may be talking to Peter Chiarelli. The Leafs may be interviewing someone else. The Leafs may fire the coach, they may not. They may regret firining Kyle Dubas, or they may welcome the change. They may get better, maybe worse.
It's all a bit much for a Monday.

In Mem Cup action, Kamloops was playing the Petes, and well, it didn't go well for the Ontario team. seldo has always had this meme he likes to remind us all that the WHL team never wins in the Mem Cup (in regulation), and fair enough, the Blazers are the hosts, not the WHL winner.
#LeafsForever prospect Fraser Minten is left ALL ALONE at the side of the net and makes no mistake, his powerplay goal gives Kamloops a 2-0 lead early. Great no look pass from Hofer. pic.twitter.com/LS48stYsv5

Usually the bronze medal game is a bit of a bitter pill for the teams that lost in the semis. But for co-host Latvia, who no longer have storied Dinamo Riga in the KHL, instead it's just part of the Latvian league, the victory was about something well beyond hockey.

MacKenzie Weegar was named best defender, and this tournament has been very special for him. Of all the parts of the many deals Brad Treliving made last summer, this is the gem in the bunch. His contract isn't a bargain, but with a new coach, I think he's going to have a great year.
When the Memorial Cup is handed out, that's it for hockey. Oh, they'll be some development camp and prospect tournament games that look like hockey, but it's not even at the level of preseason. The real thing doesn't start again until October.
What will the Leafs look like then? I don't know about you, but I don't think that's a very easy question to answer. I'm going to try later this morning.
Until then, Happy Monday.
