The Leafs just played what felt like five days straight, and now we have another full week with games on Wednesday in Dallas – the farthest the team has been from home this year, I believe – then Buffalo and the Islanders, both at home on Friday and Saturday, although the Sabres game is actually in Buffalo. That's still at home.
Who will be in net? Joe Woll is likely a lock for the Dallas game, and after that who knows. There is no firm timeframe for Anthony Stolarz return.
We might see David Kämpf back sooner. Something to consider with injuries and timelines. The Leafs are not cap crunched. In fact, they can reactivate Kämpf off of LTIR and they will only need to consider roster size, not the cap. So there is no need for injured players to be on LTIR if they may miss that much time. Stolarz might be a few days, and they might just rest him until after Christmas. Either way is fine.
Onto the news-ish things:
If you missed it yesterday afternoon, the Leafs were losing until they weren't against the Sabres.
That's 10 losses in a row for the Sabres.
Worth another look as a goal scored by a Leafs third line functioning as a unit.
And that's enough for a Monday. Rest up for another week of hockey and yet another back-to-back.
