Good morning Toronto Maple Leafs fans!
We're getting deep into the Top 25 this week, prospects are hitting the ice, and we're getting some honest to goodness news. So, I'm heading out onto the road. If you know that bridge, you can find me there later this afternoon, then I'll be off to saying hi to the Mothman, and then up to remind Habs fans John Tavares wouldn't even talk to the Canadiens in free agency.
I always take off work during the busy periods and everyone finds out how much easier things are without me, then I come back and ruin things. So, sorry about next week.
So, as the summer counts down to training camp, here are some things to talk about.
Brian isn't slacking off however, he's up watching pre-season MHL (Russian Jr) games, and good for him. Someone needs to keep us up to date.
He watched not one, not two, but three PRESEASON games for us. We all owe him a dollar.
Seriously, buy him a beer or something.
So, is it time to trade him? Well, check out his Top 25 story later on...
If you're in or up for a trip to Brampton, Max Domi and Mitch Marner will be playing in a charity game there.
Random jersey rankings? Hell yeah.
Yeah well, just wait for the new place.
The Professional Hockey Players Association is dedicated to serving AHL and ECHL players, and has brought on board someone from the CFL Players Association and they've good work. Under Brian Ramsay the CFLPA joined other labour unions in solidarity by partnering with the Ontario Federation of Labour, brough in new safety regulations, and better post-playing time benefits for the players. Minor league player unions seem to actually care about player safety. That's odd.
You can read about him at 3 Down Nation.
Finally, speaking of vacations. If you're going to be in Holland's Landing on the 16th, you can find the Stanley Cup and Sam Bennett there.
Enjoy your week everyone!
