Good morning Toronto Maple Leafs fans!
Ryan Reaves had a big day yesterday: a nice phone call meeting with the Department of Player Safety over his head hit on Darnell Nurse Saturday night.
The result: a five game suspension.
This is the longest suspension of his career, previously having one, two, and three game suspensions in the past; most recently two games in the 2021 playoffs when he was with the Vegas Golden Knights.
So, Reaves will be out for the following games:
- Wed. Nov. 20th vs Vegas
- Sun. Nov. 24th vs Utah
- Wed. Nov. 27th at Florida
- Sat. Nov. 30th at Tampa
- Mon. Dec. 2nd vs Chicago
Reaves will be eligible to return on Wednesday, December 4th vs the Nashville Predators.
Big picture wise it's good that we're only losing Reaves, there are plenty of extra forwards who would like his few minutes of nice time.
And, here's some other news.
Former Maple Leafs goalie Jack Campbell is on his way to Grand Rapids, Michigan after the Red Wings placed him on waivers.
The London Knights are on an eleven game win streak, and Easton Cowan will not stop scoring.
Fraser Minten is on his way to playing himself out of the AHL. Too early to say it?
Kyle Dubas said everyone not named Crosby is available. Malkin?
A seven figure salary cap? Yes please.
Dad was a hockey star in the UK. Will his son follow suit in Canada?
If you're here you must like hockey. But do you also like manga?
Finally, all our prospects do is score.
Enjoy your day everyone!
