On the roster are the Leafs' first two selections in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft: forward Mitch Marner and defenseman Travis Dermott. Marner has 22 goals and 58 points in 25 GP with the London Knights of the OHL. Dermott has 2 goals and 27 points in 29 games with the OHL's Erie Otters.
Marner and Dermott join William Nylander, potentially Dmytro Timashov (Sweden), and Kasperi Kapanen (Finland) as Leaf prospects that will be playing in Helsinki.
The World Juniors begin on December 26, with Canada playing the United States at 1:00 p.m. EST. A must-watch for Leaf fans will be watching Marner and Dermott face off against Nylander and Timashov when Canada plays Sweden on New Year's Eve.
