Let's re-live the last meeting between the old rivals
Let's see what the General Manager thinks of the current state of the Habs:
Rumors that the Habs may be for sale. I'll ask Mikhail Grabovski, since based on the past few games he apparently owns them.
The Leafs lead the season series 3-2 and can claim victory with an overtime or shootout loss but obviously we all want to put a dent in the Canadiens' playoff hopes. Unfortunately, according to Sports Club Stats they have a disgusting 94% chance of making the playoffs.
Previous Meetings
The Four Habs Fans aren't going to take the Leafs lightly as they continue their Marisa Miller homage:
I am not looking forward to this game tonight. Toronto has given us fits all year, and we need this one. Have you checked the schedule for the rest of the season? Four games in six nights with the Bruins and Pens in the mix. Blech. We need these two points tonight. The Habs have definitely lost the plot the last couple of times that they have played the Leafs. There was the Great Glove Hand Meltdown of February and the last meeting where Grabbo shrugged off the boos and extra physical attention to pick up four points. HF29 won't let anyone jinx what should be a better effort from the Habs:
Please hold off on your Leafs Suck comments until after the game. We don't want to jinx anything. Unless you're a Leafs fan, in which case go ahead.
Not that some commenters aren't tempting fate:
@ Eyebleaf you're in for it like a shark cruising around China tonight.
Tonight is going to be a straight up fucking bitchslap beatdown. I have no fears. Nobody else should. We have a team full of professional athletes who haven't forgot the last two games against the leafs. We are faster, stronger and more talented and it comes out tonight. I already put my posting rights on the line- Jaybird
The Leafs have won 8 of the last 13 meetings between the two teams at the ACC so that might not have been the best bet to make. Although, the Habs are 4-0-1 in their last 5 with the line of Tanguay-Koivu-Kovalev coming together at the right time. Of course, two of those wins were over the Thrashers and the Lightning so take that stat with a grain of salt.So it's Leafs-Habs on Hockey Night in Canada for the last time until next October.
