This deal makes no sense. That’s is the official PPP analysis at this time. We assume Marleau will be bought out by the Canes, and will sign with the San Jose Sharks.
Condition on first is if it is Top 10 — shifts to 2021

Okay, my official analysis is that this is a terrible damn trade, and that cap space had better get used for someone of the calibre of Dougie Hamilton, or I’m going to write a sternly-worded article of complaint.
Hurricanes will try to convince Marleau to play for them but if the answer is No they will buy him out and make him UFA.
