With training camp happening in Nova Scotia again after a successful run last year, the Leafs have made the event even bigger, with two games schedule in town following camp ending. There will be a pre-season game on Monday September 26th, but the night before that the Maple Leafs alumni will play a game against the Halifax Mariners. The Mariners are a military team from CFB Halifax, and the game will raise funds for the Halifax and Region Military Family Resource Centre.
Last year Wendel Clark was the only alumni to come to camp, but this year he’s bringing many more. All weekend Leafs alumni will be at camp to visit with fans and sign autographs. Others confirmed by the Chronicle Herald to attend are Doug Gilmour, Darryl Sittler, Tomas Kaberle and former Halifax Mooseheads goalie J.S. Gigure.
The game will take place at the Scotiabank Centre at 7PM local time. Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased online here.
