As we approach a third of the way until Mike Babcock’s unofficial tryout deadline, let’s take a quick poll on who should fill out the bottom of the roster.
Let’s be clear, these are what the battles are. There will be no jumping around to different positions. For example, the likelihood of a Travis Dermott - Rasmus Sandin third pair is slim to none so it’s not an option. Babcock is looking for a capable defender with that 3RD position and neither one of Dermott nor Sandin is going to fill that role; they’re going to be one of the two fun puck-moving guys.
Who should be the 4LW / 13th forward
Nic Petan | 147 |
Dmytro Timashov | 136 |
Who should be the 4C next to Freddy Gauthier
Jason Spezza | 282 |
Nick Shore | 18 |
Who should be 3RD
Martin Marincin | 156 |
Justin Holl | 134 |
Who should be 3LD
Travos Dermott | 233 |
Rasmus Sandin | 69 |
