Martin Jones has been added as the third goalie, but otherwise the Leafs roster is unchanged. Teams are allowed to bring a third goalie as a non-roster player, but can only add them to the playing roster if they can fit them in under the salary cap ceiling. They aren't a free extra.
Conor Timmins, who practiced in a regular jersey for the first time, is going on the trip, and his status will be evaluated through the week, per reports from this morning's practice. He is getting healthy ahead of schedule and was not expected to play in Sweden. To add him to the roster, $1.1 million in cap space has to be created by removing players.
John Klingberg's absence today was part of his ongoing mysterious injury management.
The plan is to fly to Sweden today and arrive tomorrow morning their time (they are six hours ahead).
David Kämpf was absent today, but will play next Friday:
The current roster of 13 healthy forwards, 7 healthy defenders and two goalies has enough extra players to remove two depth recalls and add Timmins when the time comes.
