The expected pro forma qualifying offers for Mitch Marner, Andreas Johnsson and Kasperi Kapanen are here. Aside from those, the Leafs have chosen only Michael Carcone, who had a strong showing on the Marlies, to issue with a qualifying offer.
Now about to become free agents are Jordan Subban, Eamon McAdam, Gabriel Gagne and Nicholas Baptiste. Baptiste is a bit of a surprise, but he seems like a confirmed AHL-level player, and may well get snapped up on a good AHL contract.
Other notable players not qualified today include Brendan Leipsic, Kerby Rychel, Curtis Lazar, Nathan Beaulieu, Pontus Aberg, Tobias Rieder and Ty Rattie.
There is a lot of good AHL talent out there to be found, and maybe some NHL depth.
