The playoffs are chugging along, and as the second rounds end in the CHL we see a couple prospects get knocked out. The Knights swept the Rangers in convincing fashion, sending Jeremy Bracco to Toronto, where he signed an ATO with the Marlies to ride along for the Calder cup playoffs.
A big upset in the OHL East saw conference favourites Stephen Desrocher and the Kingston Frontenacs be swept by the Niagara IceDogs, who are finally playing like the team they were expected to be in September.
Travis Dermott and the Erie Otters rolled over the Greyhounds in 5 games and are now set to face off against the London Knights in the OHL Western Conference Finals.
Dmytro Timashov put up eight points in four games last week, helping the Cataracts reach the QMJHL semi-finals, and Martins Dzierkals and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies are winners of the hyphen series vs the Blainsville-Broisband Armada. Semi-final match ups in the QMJHL will be decided tonight after the final game in the Saint John/Cape Breton series.
In the SHL, Andreas Johnson continues to not put up points, but Frolunda is in the SHL finals, and are tied in that series 1-1.
