The Leafs have made some roster moves today.
They called up Kevin Gravel and then sent him back to the AHL after practice and before they left for Tampa.
As expected, Rasmus Sandin and Timothy Liljegren have been sent to the AHL in what is commonly called a “paper transaction”. They are now eligible for the AHL playoffs. They were recalled after 3 p.m. today and will count towards the four post deadline recalls the Leafs are allowed.
The duo skated at practice today as the third pair:

And they are expected to both play in Tampa on Tuesday.
In a bit of a surprise, Pierre Engvall was also sent down and then recalled, so that leaves him available for the AHL postseason, but also means the Leafs have one non-emergency recall. That’s a message to the remaining players on the Marlies like Pontus Aberg, Egor Korshkov and Kenny Agostino: without injuries they aren’t likely to see any more time on the Leafs.
At this time, we still have no clarity on the status of Jeremy Bracco. He is away from the team, no timeline for his return has been given.
