It has now been 114 days since an NHL team played a regular season game, and 48 days since we last saw any playoff action. It will be another 48 days until the start of the preseason, when on September 19th, (some of) the Leafs will take on (some of) the Ottawa Senators. Today is the tipping point. From now on, we are more than halfway towards seeing real hockey.
I can almost smell the fresh ice.
