Everyone is healthy! Nearly everyone, that is.

Auston Matthews is back at practice and wearing the white jersey of a healthy player.  He had been wearing red:

Wait, not that red, the red no-contact jersey at practice. That’s the red plaid jacket of a fashion that I don’t understand.

There he is, and he’s got his best friend with him! Frederik Andersen is back too.

This means that Garret Sparks has to go back to the Marlies, since he was on an emergency call-up, and the Leafs have made that official this morning.

But wait, there’s more!

That was some ‘flu he had.

Not practicing, but skating per multiple reports was Leo Komarov.

Given that, you should expect Andersen to go on the road trip and likely start both games, you should expect Matthews to play beginning Tuesday in Tampa, and the status of Zaitsev is a little less certain, but he’s participating in practice in a normal way.

As far as Komarov goes, the HNIC panel on Saturday said day-to-day and two weeks both. The two weeks was contradicted on Sunday by multiple reports so day-to-day seems more likely to be the case. Nothing is predictable, of course, so for now I assume Andreas Johnsson will play somewhere in the lineup.

Andersen is a maybe, now.
