The last time these teams met was in February. The Leafs had a rough start but Matthews tied up the game in the third. It went to a shootout where none other than Tyler Bozak scored the only goal.
The Islanders are reeling right now. There’s a whole lot of drama going on with missing the playoffs, and the Tavares contract situation. To top it off Josh Ho-Sang added some fuel to the fire yesterday with some smart commentary on his situation that was easy to wildly misinterpret. And most people did.

Folks. The Leafs have clinched a playoff slot and this game doesn’t mean anything. Sure, I guess you could say they need to start warming up for the playoffs now, but I am not going to spend more time on a preview of a game that doesn’t really matter than this. Especially against a team in such disarray as the Islanders are now.
GO LEAFS GO!
JvR will get how many goals tonight?
Zero (option for those who wish to be banned) | 19 |
One. He’s a modest guy. He doesnt like to show off. | 48 |
