The Maple Leafs were on the back end of a back-to-back and the Stanley Cup contender Chicago Blackhawks had been sitting around for an extra day but the Heroes put together a strong effort to pick up the victory. The first two periods were pretty even which is great to see and then the third was all hands on deck as the Hawks came at them in waves.
James Reimer was incredible especially towards the latter half of the third as the Hawks threw everything but the kitchen sink at the Leafs' net. Leo Komarov set up Peter Holland for the game winning goal, the Kessel-Kadri-Winnik line was strong again, and the Leafs' fourth line continues to get stapled to the bench. However, it's a much different prospect when the team has three lines that the coach is willing to play.
Overall, it was a good game. You can check out the box score here and the fancy stats here.
