The Toronto Maple Leafs fell to the Calgary Flames 5-2 in Dion Phaneuf's return. To describe the effort as piss poor would be unfair to lazy university students squeezing through Christmas exams. You can follow the links below but they paint a picture of a team that was overrun by an opponent that was much more prepared to play. Jean-Sebastien Giguere held the team in the game until a 57 second stretch where the Flames struck three times. He gave up a couple of goals he'd likely want back on Olli Jokinen's shot and Rene Bourque's short-side marker. The Clarke MacArthur-Mikhail Grabovski-Nikolai Kulemin line was, as usual, the only one able to compete at evens.
