Well, I called this morning the worst of the year and it apparently rubbed off on the Leafs as they played their first truly horrible effort since the Carolina game. I said it about some other disappointing game but I won't be as upset if this is just a blip. The powerplay led by irreplaceable quarterback Tomas Kaberle went 0-of-7 and was every bit the 29th ranked powerplay in the league. Not that being useless was it's only quality. It also managed to cough up a short-handed goal which will no doubt be chosen by AM640 as their Ridiculous Sponsor Turning Point.

The game didn't start off bad as the continually great Nikolai Kulemin got the Leafs on the board in the first minute of the game. Allegedly lots of games in few days tired out the team. If so, these guys better have summer-long meetings with Gary Roberts because only terrible teams whine about being tired. The only good part of this game was that it happened early so there's still lots of time left tonight to do more interesting things like tear off my fingernails or waterboard myself.
