James Reimer returned to the Toronto Maple Leafs' net but it wasn't enough to keep them from losing 2-0 to the Tampa Bay Lightning. In addition to three breakaways by Martin St. Louis, Reimer faced a first period that seemed like it was played on tilted ice. Two goals got past Reimer but they were hardly his fault. Luke Schenn and Tyler Bozak combined on the first while Carl Gunnarsson's weak played allowed the second. Reimer shut the door the rest of the way but while the Leafs actually created some chances they were not able to cut the gap. Most painful was the anemic powerplay and a last minute empty net sequence that saw shots passed up for passes.
What caught your eye in tonight's game? Was there any good to draw out from the night? And just how much bad was there?
After the jump is something that will hopefully make you smile at least a little bit.
