In a predictable move, the Leafs have flipped Olli Jokinen to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for a 2016 conditional sixth round draft pick and centre Joakim Lindstrom.
In 131 games with St. Louis, Colorado and Columbus, Lindstrom has 18 goals and 21 assists. The 31-year-old was drafted in 41st overall in 2002 and has since bounced around the NHL, SHL and KHL.
The conditional selection becomes a fourth round pick in 2015 if the Blues make it to the Stanley Cup Finals and Jokinen plays.
The move means the Leafs turned Cody Franson and Mike Santorelli into a 2015 first round pick (NSH), prospect Brendan Leipsic, Lindstrom, and a 2016 conditional sixth round pick (STL).
In just six games since his trade from Nashville to Toronto, Jokinen registered a lone assist.
The trade gives the Leafs another pick in the recent stockpile of selections they've acquired through moving pending UFAs as rentals.
