I'll make this brief. You can't expect to win games against any team in the NHL when you take 11 straight penalty minutes in one period, including a 5 minute major for boarding. Certainly not when your penalty killing is dead last in the NHL. The Leafs PK% in December is an atrocious 58%.
The Leafs have lost 11 of their last 18 games. The winning streak at the start of the season is keeping the Leafs afloat. Now, I'm not saying Ron Wilson is anywhere close to the chopping block, but I think we'll hear a lot more talk along those lines going forward.
