Tonight at 5 pm, the Leafs' prospects will face off against the Chicago Blackhawks'. I'm not sure whether the benches are packed, or if the Leafs will be taking a selection from this list, but either way it'll be a chance to check out where some of the kids are in their development. I don't really recognize any of the Hawks' attendees, but hey: It's Toronto Maple Leaf hockey.
Per The Leafs' twitter account, the game will be broadcast at 7pm on Rogers TV & Channel 368 SD, 369 HD on Rogers Digital Cable across Ontario. Apparently Rogers isn't going to provide an online outlet to accommodate the demand of Leaf fans outside of the Ontario region, but please remember: Do not post links to streams of the game here or anywhere on SBNation sites. You're creative, you know how the internet works. Find them elsewhere.
Via Henny, here are your projected lines:
Josh Leivo-Carter Verhaeghe-Brad Ross
Connor Brown-Greg McKegg-David Broll
Sam Carrick-Frederik Gauthier-Ryan Rupert
Tyler Biggs-Andrew Crescenzi-Jamie Devane
Matt Finn-Morgan Rielly
Petter Granberg-Stuart Percy
Andrew MacWilliam-Kevin Raine
Garret Sparks is expected to start in net and Greg McKegg will wear the ‘C’ during the three-game tournament.
If you find yourself looking at the Leafs' rookie camp roster and wondering "who's that?" then make sure to check out the Top 25 Under 25 series, where all these players have been featured. Who're you looking forwards to seeing tonight?
Josh Leivo makes it 1-0 on the power play:
Pretty ugly goal, all things considered it looks a lot like a Gustavsson, but credit to Leivo for throwing a puck to the net with a bunch of bodies there; we've seen Leafs power plays make worse decisions than that.
Brad Ross Goals to Make it 2-0
This is a Keystone Kops quality turnover by the young Hawks, but Ross does a good job reading the play and is helped by traveling in the right direction. Credit to him for getting that shot into the only place it had any chance of going in but again it's worth mentioning that goalie looks awful.
