In case you only live to read the weekend FTBs (the best ones) or missed the other hundred stories about it, Ron Wilson was fired as the head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs last night. Randy Carlyle, the head coach of the Anaheim Ducks during Brian Burke's tenure there as GM, has been hired to replace Wilson and was signed to a three year contract. Carlyle joined the team late last night in Montreal, a scene which apparently pissed off some members of the Toronto media (check this video out and try to catch Mike Brophy of SN dropping "Good start" at the end). I get the feeling they'll soon be longing for the engaging personality of Ron Wilson.
