The Leafs are obviously at a pretty big disadvantage in goal. Last year the Leafs struggled mightily against Carey Price as he put up a .922 save percentage in two games. This year,  in two games, he's already at .944. The Leafs started Doom Week in encouraging fashion with wins over Boston and Washington. However, they've stalled in their last two meetings against top teams in the East.

The game against Pittsburgh showed how far the team was outclassed as mental error after mental error found it's way to the back of the net. The game Thursday night against Philadelphia was so bad that it spawned the most absurd protest in the history of the NHL. Hopefully, with a rink full of Canadiens fans Leafs fans will give their team a bit of a boost with some cheering and support rather than booing them at the first sign of adversity. Save the waffles for the final whistle.

Doom Week's record stands at 2-2-0. Considering most of us predicted 0-5-0 and a -20 goal differential (ok, that was mostly Chemmy and I) I'd say it's a qualified success. A whitewash would have put the Leafs even further off of the 'get out of lottery territory' race. A win tonight would put a qualified cherry on top of the qualified sundae. Someday we won't have to qualify wins.
