The Leafs didn't play very well tonight. As you can see, the response on twitter was vicious:

We'll be shutting down the blog for the remainder of the season as we recover from tonight's loss.
Beyond the terrific performance in net by Sergei Bobrovsky, the Leafs played pretty poorly in their own zone. A few turnovers and poor coverage led to three of Philadelphia's four goals. I thought Kadri had a lot of jump and he's incredibly active in the offensive zone. First impressions are the best kind, and I would go ahead and trace his name in pen on the line-up for October 6th. Pretty underwhelming performance by the rest of the squad, but I'd point to Clarke MacArthur and Jesse Blacker as other players who impressed tonight. Tim Connolly looked timid, but for a guy with his track record, I'm willing to take an extended wait and see approach. Joe Colborne took a step back after a strong first game. As Kadri learned the hard way last season, decisions with the puck need to be quick and certain. He'll find his way in the AHL and he has definitely showed the top end puck skills to be a top-6 NHL forward.
