Tyler Bozak banged in a rebound, Henrique put up a PPG. JVR did his work in close off a Franson rebound, and Ryan Clowe tied the game up on a breakaway. The Leafs had a goal called off, the game would head to a shootout, and the coin would land in favor of the hometown club. Here's your game in six:
I didn't get a chance to watch tonight's game, so I'll leave the individual level discussion to the comments section. It was really, really frustrating to see Carlyle say in his post-game press conference that the Leafs could "breathe" after tonight's game. The club failed to score more than two goals for the 21st time in the last 33 games. There are still just four regulation wins over that same period, even despite the night's two points. They had just 36.6% of shot attempts.
From the team level perspective, it wasn't the kind of night that should give a team breathing room. It definitely wasn't the kind of night that should throw cool water on a hot seat. Anyways, what'd you think of the game? Oh, and here, you can check out these links: ExtraSkater - NHL
