7:30PM ET: Leafs-TV, NHL-N (US)
This is the third time the Leafs have played the Senators this preseason. The two teams have each won a game but the first two contests heavily featured rookies for both teams. Tonight's Leafs lineup sees most of Toronto's starters with the exception of Luke Schenn who has a hurt back and Kris Versteeg who is in Chicago getting a Stanley Cup ring.
The lines according to AM640's Jonas Siegel are:
Forwards: Kadri, Bozak, Kessel. Kulemin, Grabovski, MacArthur. Sjostrom, Brent, Armstrong. Orr, Mitchell, Rosehill.
Defense: Beauchemin-Phaneuf. Kaberle-Komisarek. Gunnarsson-Holzer.
Apparently one of Kulemin or MacArthur is out and will be replaced by Luca Caputi and J.S. Giguere will get the start in net across from Pascal Leclaire. From Sportsnet's Ian Mendes:
Fisher will play tonight, centering line with Kovalev/Foligno. Michalek-Spezza-Alfredsson also going tonight. Leclaire gets start in goal.
The big story is going to be Nazem Kadri taking a spot on the left wing with Kessel and Bozak. Kadri's a left handed shot which would break up the trio of righties in Versteeg, Bozak and Kessel and it's not uncommon for offense first centers in junior to become wings in the NHL (e.g.: Phil Kessel).
If Kadri produces tonight I think there's going to be a long debate about what happens with him but the puck's in his zone. He needs to do something with it.
