James Reimer vs. Kevin Poulin
The Islanders should have goaltender woes. Rick DiPietro is out indefinitely with "lost a fight badly" and Evgeni Nabokov is suspended without pay for not liking the waiver system. Leaf killer Dwayne Roloson has been moved to Tampa Bay for a prospect and it all comes down to Kevin Poulin on the Island.
Poulin's responded by giving the Islanders ten games of 0.924 goaltending, impressive for an unheralded 20 year old being tossed to the wolves in Nassau. He's played about 30 minutes fewer than James Reimer who enters tonight's contest aged 22 years old and sporting a 0.929 save percentage.
Both fanbases will be watching their own nets tonight; hoping against hope that win or lose their goaltender looks good. The Leafs are eight points up on the Islanders who have a game in hand. For this Leafs team nothing is an easy game but seriously Kessel: score a damn goal.
