Playoff Pressure Intensifies on Upstart Leafs - James Mirtle at the Globe and Mail

You won’t get very far in the Toronto Maple Leafs dressing room these days without hearing the phrase "our playoffs" in relation to the tail end of the regular season.

And after Saturday’s 4-3 win over the Buffalo Sabres to keep such talk alive, the coaching staff was joining in the discussion on Sunday.

"These are fun games," winger Freddy Sjostrom explained. "I think some other people said it, too, these are like playoff games. For us, it’s huge. You’re pumped up for every single game, every shift matters."

Too bad this sens of urgency and worth wasn't present during the first three months of the season. Le sigh. Also, the Sabres won last night so yeah.... Then again it's always been said that a team plays best when loose...
