Sitting on the bench isn't the most exciting thing in the world, but at least you have a great view of the game and the freedom to get rid of that excess saliva and mucus that builds up over time. The ice is right there, what harm could it do?
Oops.
An unsuspecting member of the Tamp Bay ice crew got a souvenir courtesy of Maple Leafs goaltender Jonathan Bernier last night. Bernier didn't know he was coming by when he let loose and seems pretty surprised when it hits the poor guy.
Bernier made up for his misdeeds by sending the ice crew member a signed stick to make up for the wayward loogie.
FYI Bernier feels so badly he's asked to meet the guy post-game to apologize & give him a signed stick. #classy https://t.co/nLFvEkruJN
