Today the Toronto Maple Leafs will host a public memorial for four time Stanley Cup winner, two time Vezina winner, and Maple Leafs legend Johnny Bower.

The Bower family held a private funeral for John in Oakville after his passing, and today will be a public memorial for the Toronto Maple Leafs community.
Longtime Maple Leafs broadcaster Joe Bowen will be master of ceremonies for the event that will see Maple Leafs president Brendan Shanahan, grandson Johnny Bower III, teammates Dave Keon and Ron Ellis speaking about the impact the Bower had on his family, his teammates and the community at large.
The Maple Leafs community is invited to attend, the bowl seating will be open to anyone who would like to attend, floor seating is reserved for invitees and family, and is first come, first serve.
Ahead of last night’s game versus the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Maple Leafs honoured Bower with a ceremony, warming up in #1 Bower jerseys, and have added a patch to their jerseys with ‘JB’ on them.
