James Reimer vs. Al Montoya
"Things are never as bad as they seem, or as good"
The Islanders have won six of their last seven games averaging five goals per game over that span. The Leafs are 6-2-2 (.700 PTS%) in their last ten games. These are two franchises sitting in or near the draft lottery who are playing excellent hockey right now. Will it hold up? Will either of these teams squeak into the playoffs? Probably not.
The Leafs were crushed by Craig Anderson on Saturday night despite a great effort and they'll be facing Al Montoya tonight. Montoya's yet to lose a start for the Islanders and enters the night with a 0.953SV%. It's good to see a prospect who disappeared and was traded to the Coyotes come back from the desert like the proverbial, erm, phoenix, but the Leafs have their work cut out for them tonight.
